My favorite song lyrics are found in the song Ripple by The Grateful Dead. The chorus of this song is "ripple in still water, when there is no pebble tossed, nor wind to blow". The theme of this song is the paradoxical nature of our existence.

Post 26: comparing women's roles

When I first read Ms. Bradshaw's post, I realized that her and I had a slightly different opinion. Ms. Bradshaw believes that the role of wome n "shou ld be to take care of home while the man works". I disagree with this because if you still tell women that there is a certain place that they "should be" in society, it does not allow them the freedom to express who they truly want to be and lead a life that is true to herself. Next I read Mr. Jarquez's blog post about women's role in society. Him and I agree that women's primary role should be " to  no longer follow behind the man in the most situations" However I believe that our society still has a long way to go before we reach this goal.
